IDT is an application service provider that has developed a powerful solution that helps three distinct yet interrelated customers with its service. Municipalities can offer to their constituents all electronic construction plan submittal, review and approval. Architects and developers can provide for electronic plan distribution and plan review with their customers and consultants. Contractors, both general and sub-contractors, can access an electronic plan room for bid information and plan distribution.
IDT opened its doors in June 2001 and began the development of its website while interviewing its intended customer base. It has been a focused policy of the company in regard to the website development that ease of use by the subscribers was as paramount a concern as the content and functionality provided. A goal that we have maintained is to allow a subscriber to see a set of plans in three clicks of the mouse.
IDT developed the first application in use by a major metropolitan area to allow its citizens to submit electronically plans and specifications and have them viewed concurrently by the applicant, the design professionals and several municipal reviewers.
